Looking for a place to experience the beauty of red-rock canyon country?
Located just four miles from Arches National Park, Moab, Utah offers visitors an amazing array of activities set against a Martianesque backdrop of impressive canyons, towers, and arches.
The deep canyons and striking towers near Moab offer the finest sandstone climbing in the country. With awe-inspiring desert scenery, this is a truly special place to visit.

Since 1949 the Moab area has been a popular location for Hollywood movies.  Movies filmed in the area range from the old John Wayne classics to more recent hits such as Geronimo, City Slickers II, and Mission Impossible II.  Thelma and Louise took their final leap into the Colorado River from along the Shafer Trail under Dead Horse Point near Moab!
Moab is flanked to the east by the La Sal Mountains, which rise beyond 12,000 feet. The cool, green high-country terrain offers a refreshing contrast to the desert wilds below. With a generally mild climate and unexpected environmental variety, Moab is a magnet for year-round outdoor adventure.

Day 1: Arrival

Arrival at Canyonlands Field Airport.  Bonvoy will provide transportation from the airport to our group meeting point.  Once at the campsite, we’ll get settled and  your professional guide will go over training and safety procedures for the following day.  That evening, dinner will be served and afterwards anyone who is interested, can participate in an evening hike through Slickrock.

Day 2: Canyoneering and Rappelling

After breakfast, we’ll venture to our canyoneering and hiking destination. It’s an excursion that has some fascinating rock architecture and sort of a hidden gem in Moab!  The trip begins in near the slick rock trails above Moab, and winds its way down into a narrow canyon. There are two rappels during this hike that both exceed 100 ft.  The first of these takes you down a chamber to the top of Morning Glory arch. From there you’ll experience an amazing free hanging rappel from the arch which brings you into another canyon. A 2.5 mile hike down the canyon, criss crossing over several stream crossings is the final leg of this amazing hike.

Day 3: Mountain biking

We’ll eat breakfast, get fitted for our bikes then drive to the famous Dead Horse State Park where we’ll ride the new Intrepid trails and enjoy the view from Dead Horse Point, one of the most photographed scenic vistas in the world!  The Intrepid Trail System offers three biking loops varying in length and difficulty.  We’ll take the (approx.) ten mile Big Chief trail with sections looping single-track, sandy washes and incredible scenery. It’s a perfect ride for beginners to intermediate riders with level terrain and gentle slopes.  We’ll enjoy lunch in the park and take our time with all the photo ops then make our way back to camp to decide the nights fun!

Day 4: Rock climbing

After breakfast, everyone will be transported from our campsite to Wall street where we’ll meet with your guide to go over rock climbing procedures. The rock climbing in Moab offers a huge variety from difficult to modern.  It’s a fun, open and beautiful environment to climb in! We will stop for lunch at noon and then resume climbing at 1:00 pm. Around 5:00pm we will conclude climbing for the day and head back to camp where dinner and showers will be waiting.

Day 5: ATV Riding

We’ll ride on the side of Danger and go out with a bang on the last day of our trip with a half day of playing in the sand driving our own ATV’s!  The amazing scenery of back country Moab will surround the sand dunes we’ll explore.  Discover ancient civilizations and the remains of dinosaur bones between challenging fellow trip goers to a race through open trails!

Day 6: Departure

After breakfast we will pack up camp and transport everyone back to the airport for their return home.
